About Rio

Rio de Janeiro is one of the most beautiful cities on the world. Commonly known as just Rio, the city is also named by "A Cidade Maravilhosa", or "The Marvelous City".  Rio is the second largest city of Brazil, behind São Paulo. The city is capital of the state of Rio de Janeiro.

 It is famous for its natural settings, encircled by coastal mountains, forests and fronted by the Atlantic, Rio also boasts the two world's largest forests inside an urban area.  The most famous one is called "Floresta da Tijuca".  Rio has a Tropical climate, where the winter has a cool whether and during the summer in January is really hot, but the temperature is moderated by the cool sea-breezes from the ocean.
